EXS-Sxx Standalone Driver |
The EXD-S controllers are dedicated superheat controllers for Alco EX5 through EX8 electronic expansion valves (EXV). They are factory preset for different refrigerants, superheat settings and MOP settings. They feature superior superheat control performance over a very wide operating range.
These standalone driver Modules have diagnostic and alarming capability. Alarms and operating modes can be viewed via LED for easy diagnostics or from a digital contact. |

EXD-U Universal Driver |
The EXD-U00 drivers are dedicated valve drivers aimed at users who want to utilize their own control algorithms or who want to use the Alco Controls EXVs as throttle devices like suction regulators, hot gas bypass regulators etc. In many cases, existing BAS or DDC controls can control the EXVs via this univeral driver module.
The driver module requires an analog input signal 4 to 20mA or 0 to 10V from other controllers. The output controls the "stepping" (closing/opening) of EX5/EX6/EX7/EX8 valves.
The Universal driver is easily configured by means of dip-switches for various valves, different analog input signal , or type of start mode. .

EXP-024 Power Supply |
The EXP-024 uninterruptable power supply protects against flooding of evaporators in case of power failure. Supply voltage of controllers is monitored and when the low voltage threshold is reached, the EXP-024 takes over, providing power to controllers for enough time to fully close electronic expansion valves.
For certain applications such as expansion valve or hot gas bypass regulation, it is required to close the valve for protecting the compressors against wet running.

EX5 Stepper Valve |
The EX5/EX6/EX7/EX8 stepper valves can be applied as expansion valves, capacity control by means of hot gas bypass or evaporating pressure control, crankcase pressure control, head pressure and liquid level control.
