The Johnson Controls VS Series of variable speed drives offer a broad range of competitively priced open drives and drives with the Eaton® /Cutler-Hammer® IntelliPass bypass, specifically engineered for Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) applications. Modular construction allows the VS Series to be flexibly adapted to customer requirements, while minimizing drive size. The result is reduced installation time and costs, and the smallest, lightest bypass offering in the HVAC industry.
VS Series drives now offer closed-loop control, programmed with engineering units for specific HVAC applications: duct static, building static, pressure control and temperature control. In addition, a quick and easy, non-application specific standard application allows users to get the drive up and running.
One-finger keypad operation makes navigation easy between monitoring values and adjusting parameters. While automatic fault display captures 16 drive operating parameters at the time of fault.
These microprocessor- based drives have standard features that can be programmed to tailor the drive’s performance to suit a wide variety of application requirements.
Models rated at 240 volts, single- or three-phase, 50/60 Hz are available in sizes ranging from 1/4 to 2 hp. Models rated at 115 volts, single-phase, 50/60 Hz are available in the 1/4 to 1/2 hp size range.

The VSD Series features the new integrated Enclosed Drive and DX-9100 digital controller solution. With no hard-wired points between the drive and DX-9100, and a special DX-9100 program to provide seamless integration of drive parameters in the GX-9100 software tool, this integrated solution is unique to the HVAC industry.
