Network Automation Engine (NAE)

Yorkland Controls can support existing installations of NAE. To upgrade the NAE supervisory controller, the Facility Explorer (FX) Supervisory System should be considered. Facility Explorer offers the ability to integrate other devices and systems and is openly distributed. Field Controllers networked to the NAE may be replaced with the FX N2 field devices or the FX-PCG BACNET field controls. Regardless of the vintage of Johnson Controls Building Automation controls, Yorkland can assist. Contact us at info@yorkland.net for additional information.

The Network Automation Engine (NAE) brings Web-based network technology to the Metasys® building management system. At the same time, the NAE uses the communication technology of the building automation industry including

BACnetTM, LonWorks®, and the N2. This combination of technologies allows the user to monitor and supervise all building systems such as HVAC equipment, lighting, security and fire control systems. Used as either a single engine or as a network of multiple devices, the NAE provides alarm and event management, trending, energy management, data exchange and archiving, schedule and communication.

The NAE  supports LONMARK Interoperability Association produces. Johnson is actively developing and manufacturing field-device level products incorporating the LonTalk protocol using standard neuron chips with communication over the FTT10A field network.

The NAE supports the Johnson Controls N2 Open protocol - one of the first truely open field buses.

There are over 1000 compatible products from more than 125 different partners in over 50 application categories. Each one is proven through actual testing to communicate with a Metasys building automation system.
